Suzie Goes to School
I have been sent a lovely story by the author Charlotte Olson about Suzie’s first day at school. It’s a nice simple text to share with your children in the run up to starting school. Please enjoy.

Suzie Goes to School- A story about starting school

Remind yourself of what your new school looks like with a photo tour around St Andrew’s and remind yourself of who’s who so you are familiar with faces when you start.

Invitation to Transition Event Thursday 9th July 2020

As you are all aware we were unsure of how the transition period could take place this year with the current pandemic closing schools all over the country. We are now reopen for some of our children and have been discussing about how we can get you in before the long summer break for a visit. We have come up with the idea of a socially distanced craft and story time activity on our school field. I would like to invite you and your child to join myself on Thursday 9th July at 1pm where we will complete a couple of craft activities, one which will stay in school and one to take home. I will then read a story whilst you enjoy a drink and a biscuit.

If I could ask that you bring your own cups I can provide water and squash and the biscuits. I will have them all bagged up with names to avoid cross contamination. If you are able to attend this session could you please email me to confirm your attendance at so I can ensure all the resources and more importantly the biscuits are ready for you. Any dietary requirements you haven’t already informed me of please let me know so I can ensure the snacks are safe for everyone.

Those who are unable to attend due to shielding please let me know and I could drop the craft activities to you with instructions so you could still take part if you wanted to.

I’m looking forward to seeing as many of you at this event as can attend.

Warm Regards,

Mrs. Charlotte Skipp
